To get the true benefits of search engine optimization and marketing you'll need
a long term SEO strategy. Long term strategies are fully managed by me, while
short term or hourly assignments are commonly unmanaged.
Managed services are full long term SEO campaigns, commonly a collection of SEO
services executed repeatedly over time. While unmanaged services are short term
solutions, commonly a specific task executed once or as needed. In most cases
short term unmanaged solutions are non-contractual while long term managed
solutions are contractual.
If you already understand SEO and know exactly what you
need to take your website to the next level then short term unmanaged services is probably
best for your company.
However, if you are unfamiliar with strategically planning SEO campaigns or your
core business does not relate to SEO marketing then long term managed services is
probably the best option for your company.
The main difference between managed and unmanaged is that I take full
responsibility for rankings and campaign management with managed services, while
I only have limited to no responsibility for unmanaged services. For long term
managed solutions I will execute tasks, implement strategies, analyze reports,
make expert recommendations, conduct research, monitor performance, adjust
campaigns, etc.. For short term unmanaged services I simply execute the task as
requested and I am hands-off after that point.
Below are raw examples of my pricing structure,
Long Term Managed - $500 to $5,000 per month (minimum 6 months)
Short Term Unmanaged - $250 to $2,500 per project
SEO Maintenance - $250 to $5,000 per maintenance month
SEO/SEM/PPC Hourly rate - $75 per hour
Web Design/Development Hourly Rate - $125 per hour
